We arrange a number of activities each term where children can apply Scientific Enquiry.<\/p><p>At the end of the topic, depth (Kapow Learning Statements) and breadth (National Curriculum End Points) are assessed using analyse tasks and pupil conferencing.\u00a0<\/p><p>Other areas of the National Curriculum will also be taught in conjunction with Science.<\/p><p><strong>The School has been awarded with the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM)\u00a0for its committment to Science.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/div><h3 class=\"draggable\"><span class=\"editable text header edited\">Characteristics of a Scientist<\/span><\/h3><div class=\"editable html edited cke_focus\" data-placeholder=\"Insert content here\"><ul><li>Scientific knowledge and understanding: observing, studying and explaining the physical world.<\/li><li>Working scientifically: using different methods of scientific enquiry to understand the world around us.<\/li><li>Science in action: how science can be used and its impact on our day-to-day lives.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><h3 class=\"draggable\"><span class=\"editable text header edited\">Intent, Implementation and Impact<\/span><\/h3><div class=\"editable html edited\" data-placeholder=\"Insert content here\"><p>This document outlines: the intent and rationale behind our Science curriculum, how we deliver it and how we measure pupil progress.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"editable document\" data-type=\"DOCUMENT\"><div class=\"listingCell\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"draggable\"><span class=\"editable text header edited\">Curriculum Documents<\/span><\/h3><div class=\"editable html edited cke_focus\" data-placeholder=\"Insert content here\"><p>We aim to provide through high quality teaching and learning experiences every child with the key knowledge and transferrable skills they require to achieve in all subjects and develop a love of learning which will be with them for their whole life.<\/p><p>The documents below outline how we do this:<\/p><\/div><div class=\"editable document-gallery\" data-type=\"DOCUMENTS\"><div class=\"gallery_embed gallery_doc_embed\"><div class=\"listingCell horizontal\">Please note that we have mixed the order of units from Kapow Primary.
