Early Years Funding for 3-4 year olds, 15 and 30 hours

All 3 – 4 year olds in England receive 570 hours of funded childcare per year. This equates to 15 hours per week in term time (38 weeks per year).

Check your eligibility for 30 hours

Children of working parents meeting certain criteria are eligible for an additional 570 hours of funded childcare per year. Therefore these children can get up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week in term time (38 weeks per year).

The Childcare Choices website have updated their site to reflect upcoming changes to childcare support.  Funding for two year olds of working parents will be implemented from 1 April 2024.

The funded hours can only be claimed from the term after the child’s 3rd birthday

Child’s 3rd Birthday Funding starts
1st January – 31st March Summer term from April
1st April – 31st August Autumn term from September
1st September – 31st December Spring term from January
