Links with Local Primary Schools

Our local Cluster is a group of primary schools, mainly in the Wealden area.

The group consists of Frant Primary School, Mark Cross Primary School, Wadhurst Primary School and Uplands Community College.

In addition to this, we work with a large number of schools as part of the Wealden Education Improvement Partnership.

We work collaboratively, sharing expertise, good practice and resources to create a coherent, challenging and exciting curriculum for our pupils, whilst still keeping each school’s own distinctive and unique character.

The cluster works together to provide a range of opportunities for able pupils and training for staff.

Uplands Community College

Many of our pupils go on to Uplands Community College and we maintain close links with the school to aid transition.

Children have opportunities to attend sports events held at the school from Year 1 onwards.

In the last year at Stonegate, Year 6 pupils attend sample lessons at Uplands, as well as having staff from Uplands visit them here at Stonegate.
