Stonegate Governors
The Stonegate School Governing Body is a team of local people who have volunteered for the role.
There is a wide range of experience amongst the governors, with business people, parents, and school staff included, as well as church representation since we are a Church School.
The Governors keep themselves up to date by means of school visits, and by making good use of the training courses provided by East Sussex Governor Services.

Governor Action Plan
As part of striving to be an outstanding school, the Governors aim to raise their effectiveness working alongside the Head teacher, staff and parents in creating a safe, happy, engaged learning environment for all pupils at Stonegate Primary School and Little Acorns Pre-School.
The purpose of governance is to provide confident, strategic leadership and to create robust accountability, oversight and assurance for educational and financial performance.
The Governor’s Action Plan is to support these core functions and to form part of the self-evaluation process, led by the Head Teacher.
